The Straits Times Index (STI) (Ticker:^STI) is a market capitalization-weighted index. The Index tracks the performance of the top 30 largest and most liquid companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. The STI was revamped and relaunched on January 10, 2008. The Index is calculated by the SGX, the SPH Media Trust, and the FTSE Group. The base date for the index is September 15, 1966.
