Index description

The weighted average price index for wheat in India represents a regional benchmark for the local grain market used for evaluating price dynamics with the primary producing country India. In August 2026 the maximum reached 2581.56 INR/100 kg, the minimum was 2485.62 INR/100 kg and the average level stood at 2549.07 INR/100 kg. The index is based on the weighted average price of wheat among the regions of India.
