Index description

Maize (World Bank) is a commodity index tracking prices of No. 2 yellow maize from US Gulf ports and serves as a benchmark for global agricultural deals with primary trading in the USA. In 2026 the maximum reached 216.17 USD/tonne, the minimum was 185.49 USD/tonne and the average level stood at 200.01 USD/tonne. The index is based on prices of maize (U.S.), No. 2, yellow, f.o.b. US Gulf ports.
