Index description

Barley (IMF) is a commodity index reflecting spot prices of Canadian Western No. 1 barley and serves as a benchmark in global grain trade with the primary producing country Canada. In 2026 the maximum reached 124.97 USD/tonne, the minimum was 110.44 USD/tonne and the average level stood at 116.12 USD/tonne. The index is based on prices of barley, Canadian No. 1 Western Barley, spot price, US$ per metric ton.
