The index reflects the dynamics of Vietnam's stock market based on key stocks traded on the Hanoi Stock Exchange. It covers companies registered and traded in the Vietnam region, with settlements in the local currency, the Vietnamese dong. The index represents a basket of the most liquid and capitalized stocks in a given market. The index calculation is based on a market capitalization weighting methodology.
