The index reflects the dynamics of Pakistan's stock market based on key stocks traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange. It covers the 100 largest companies representing various sectors of the country's economy, and is denominated in Pakistani rupees. The index is formed as a market capitalization-weighted indicator, reflecting the overall performance of the main market segment. The calculation methodology takes into account changes in stock prices without taking into account dividend income.
