The index reflects the dynamics of the Nigerian stock market based on a wide range of stocks traded on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE). It covers companies from various sectors of the economy, nominated in the Nigerian naira. The index is a basket of stocks reflecting the total market capitalization and price changes. It is calculated as a weighted indicator that takes into account the market value of the included assets.
