Index description

The index reflects the dynamics of the stock market of companies registered in mainland China and traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It covers the largest and most liquid companies denominated in Hong Kong dollars and represents a regional segment of the stock market. The index is based on a basket of assets selected according to the criteria of market capitalization and trading volume. It is calculated as a capitalization-weighted indicator reflecting changes in the share prices of the included companies.
