The index reflects the dynamics of the Chinese stock market through key companies traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. It covers the shares of the largest and most liquid companies denominated in Chinese yuan (CNY) and represents the regional Asian market. The index is based on a basket of assets selected according to the criteria of capitalization and trading volume. It is calculated as a market capitalization-weighted indicator without taking into account dividends.
