The index reflects the dynamics of the Philippine stock market through key companies traded on the Philippine Stock Exchange. It covers the shares of the largest and most liquid companies denominated in Philippine pesos. The index is a basket of assets selected based on market capitalization and trading volume. The index calculation takes into account changes in stock prices without taking into account dividend income.
