Index description

The China (Export) Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) tracks freight rates on 12 routes from ten Chinese ports and is an influential indicator of the global container market sponsored by China’s Ministry of Transport. In October 2026 the maximum reached 1922.64 points, the minimum was 1876.27 points and the average stood at 1898.28 points. The index is published weekly by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange with a base of 1000 points on 1 January 1998.
