Index description

The China (Export) Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) tracks freight rates on 12 routes from ten Chinese ports and is an influential indicator of the global container market sponsored by China’s Ministry of Transport. In June 2026 the maximum reached 1710.47 points, the minimum was 1411.60 points and the average stood at 1550.31 points. The index is published weekly by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange with a base of 1000 points on 1 January 1998.
