The Gold Volatility Index (GVZ) measures the expected 30-day volatility of gold prices based on options on the SPDR Gold Shares ETF and serves as an indicator of market sentiment in the precious metals market. In June 2026 the maximum reached 32.18 %, the minimum was 23.87 % and the average stood at 27.23 %. High GVZ values signal anticipated elevated price volatility in gold.
