Index description

HVO (4 class, FOB Netherlands) is a monthly cash-settled future based on Argus’ daily assessment of hydrotreated vegetable oil Class IV priced FOB in the ARA region. In August 2026 the maximum reached 3405.10 USD/tonne, the minimum was 3081.86 USD/tonne, and the average level stood at 3245.29 USD/tonne. The contract is used by market participants to hedge price risk and to establish transparent benchmarks for physical transactions.
