Index description

HVO (2 class, FOB Netherlands) is a monthly cash-settled future based on Argus’ daily assessment of hydrotreated vegetable oil Class II priced FOB in the ARA region. In August 2026 the maximum reached 3035.10 USD/tonne, the minimum was 2764.05 USD/tonne, and the average level stood at 2894.43 USD/tonne. The contract is used to manage price risk in the European renewable diesel market and serves as a benchmark for pricing physical deliveries.
