Index description

UCOME (FOB Netherlands) is a monthly cash-settled future based on Argus’ daily assessment of used cooking oil methyl ester priced FOB in the ARA region and compliant with the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED). In August 2026 the maximum reached 1728.16 USD/tonne, the minimum was 1566.85 USD/tonne, and the average level stood at 1624.07 USD/tonne. The contract is used to hedge prices for waste-based biodiesel and serves as a benchmark for physical transactions.
