Index description

The softwood lumber futures contract from the USA and Canada serves as the underlying asset for hedging price risks in construction and woodworking and acts as the key benchmark for the North American market. In 2026-07 the maximum reached 659.00 USD/1000 board feet, the minimum — 614.00 USD/1000 board feet, with an average of 635.05 USD/1000 board feet. The index is calculated on the basis of futures contract data for stamped lumber delivery.
