Index description

The Cameroon sapele logs price index reflects the value of high-quality African timber on the global market and serves as a price benchmark for the forestry and construction industries. In 2026 the minimum value reached 403.20 USD/pound, the maximum — 413.90 USD/pound, with an average of 408.38 USD/pound. The index is based on logs of 80 cm or more in diameter, f.o.b. Douala, sourced from World Bank data.
