The Malaysian meranti logs price index reflects the value of Southeast Asian tropical timber and serves as a price benchmark for the forestry and furniture industries. In 2026 the minimum value reached 187.02 USD/pound, the maximum — 202.67 USD/pound, with an average of 194.29 USD/pound. The index is based on sale prices to importers in Tokyo, sourced from World Bank data.
