The Malaysian meranti logs price index reflects the value of Southeast Asian tropical timber and serves as a price benchmark for the forestry and furniture industries. In 2026 the minimum value reached 185.30 USD/pound, the maximum — 201.56 USD/pound, with an average of 193.05 USD/pound. The index is based on sale prices to importers in Tokyo, sourced from World Bank data.
