The Feeder Cattle index represents a CFD on young feeder steers tracking financially settled futures on the CME and serving as a price benchmark for the US feeder cattle market. In July 2026 the maximum reached 364.15 cents/lb, the minimum was 337.54 cents/lb, with an average level of 351.05 cents/lb. The index price is based on the contract for difference tracking futures on steers weighing 700–899 pounds.
