Index description

The Lamb (World Bank) index represents the price of frozen lamb cuts imported from New Zealand into China and serves as a global benchmark for the lamb market. In 2026 the maximum reached 7.59 USD/kg, the minimum was 6.24 USD/kg, with an average level of 6.85 USD/kg. From January 2020 the index reflects New Zealand frozen lamb cuts, c.i.f. China.
