The Beef index represents a CFD on feeder cattle tracking cash-settled futures on the Brazilian B3 exchange and used for risk management in Brazil’s agricultural sector. In August 2026 the maximum reached 350.20 BRL/kg, the minimum was 342.50 BRL/kg, with an average level of 345.82 BRL/kg. The index tracks futures on live cattle (steers with carcass weight of at least 512 pounds and maximum age of 42 months).
