Index description

The index reflects a continuous futures contract on hot-rolled steel used to assess the market value of the material in metallurgy and construction; the USA is the primary trading region and pricing standard on the CME. In 2026-07 the maximum was 1199.95 USD/ton, the minimum — 1164.00 USD/ton, the average level — 1180.00 USD/ton. The index is based on the U.S. Hot Rolled Steel Price Index (CRU) with CME delivery terms.
