The index reflects the dynamics of the Mexican stock market based on a basket of the largest publicly traded companies. It covers stocks denominated in Mexican pesos and represents the national stock market. The index is part of the global MSCI index series, focused on individual countries and regions. It is calculated as a market capitalization-weighted indicator, including reinvestment of dividends.
