The index reflects the dynamics of the Ecuadorian stock market, based on key stocks traded on the local stock exchange. It covers companies from various sectors denominated in Ecuadorian sucre and US dollars, with a focus on the national market. The index is a basket of assets reflecting the total capitalization and liquidity of selected issuers. The index calculation takes into account changes in stock prices without taking into account dividend income.
