The index reflects the dynamics of the Chilean stock market based on the key companies traded on the Santiago Stock Exchange. It covers a wide range of sectors of the country's economy and is denominated in Chilean pesos. The index is formed as a weighted basket of shares of the most liquid and capitalized companies. The index calculation takes into account the market capitalization adjusted for the free turnover of shares.
