The index represents the price of iron ore with 62% iron content as feedstock for the metallurgical industry; China is the key trading region and benchmark for import supplies. In 2026-05 the maximum was 111.42 USD/ton, the minimum — 107.86 USD/ton, the average level — 110.09 USD/ton. The index is based on CFR delivery terms to Tianjin port.
