The index reflects the dynamics of the Kenyan stock market based on the largest companies traded on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. It is calculated based on the 20 most liquid and capitalized shares denominated in Kenyan shillings. The index is a basket of assets covering key sectors of the Kenyan economy. The calculation methodology includes accounting for changes in share prices excluding dividends.
