The index reflects the dynamics of the stock market based on a basket of stocks traded on the Dubai Stock Exchange. It covers key companies representing various sectors of the United Arab Emirates economy and is nominated in dirhams of the UAE. The index is formed as a weighted indicator of the market capitalization of the included issuers. The calculation methodology takes into account changes in share prices without taking into account dividend payments.
