The index reflects the continuous financially settled naphtha futures contract (CIF NWE) and serves as the primary benchmark for petrochemical feedstock pricing worldwide. In May 2026 the maximum reached 941.84 USD/ton, the minimum was 728.28 USD/ton, averaging 846.96 USD/ton. The index is compiled from a rolling series of cash-settled futures.
