Index description

The index represents the continuous 0.5 % sulfur marine fuel futures contract (FOB Singapore) and is the primary benchmark for bunker fuel worldwide. In July 2026 the maximum reached 673.53 USD/ton, the minimum stood at 547.95 USD/ton, averaging 618.91 USD/ton. The index is compiled from a rolling series of SGX futures contracts.
