The index reflects the continuous naphtha futures contract (CFR Japan) and serves as the key benchmark for petrochemical feedstock prices in Asia. In August 2026 the maximum reached 833.11 USD/ton, the minimum stood at 711.74 USD/ton, averaging 780.97 USD/ton. The index is compiled from a rolling series of futures contracts.
