BTC/SP500 Ratio is an indicator of Bitcoin’s relative strength compared to the US stock market, expressed in the number of S&P 500 index units per one BTC, and serves to evaluate BTC’s behavior as a risk asset in correlation with traditional equity markets. An increase in the ratio indicates Bitcoin’s outperformance versus stocks and growing appetite for risk assets, while a decline signals capital outflow into traditional equities or pressure on cryptocurrencies during corrections, calculated as BTC price in USD divided by the S&P 500 index value.
