Index description

Nasdaq CME Crypto Index (NCI) is a daily calculated benchmark index for digital assets that aggregates trading data from vetted cryptocurrency exchanges and custodians meeting strict selection criteria established by the joint Nasdaq and CME Group governance committee. Calculated by CF Benchmarks since its launch in 2021 and rebalanced quarterly, it ensures transparency, reliability, and regulatory compliance, serving as a key reference for institutional crypto investments, including ETFs and derivatives. NCI™ includes leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Chainlink, Cardano, and Avalanche, and acts as the settlement basis for futures, options, and funds offered by CME Group, Nasdaq, and partners like Hashdex.
