Gold/DXY Ratio measures the price of gold relative to the US Dollar Index (DXY), comparing the performance of the precious metal with the dollar’s strength against a basket of major currencies. A rising ratio indicates that gold is rising faster than the dollar index or falling more slowly, and can also occur when gold prices rise while the dollar weakens.
