The Coal (SGX, Indonesia) futures contract is a glued contract for 4200 kcal/kg GAR thermal coal traded on SGX and used in the energy sector for hedging, where Indonesia is a major supplier. In June 2026 the maximum reached 65.13 USD/ton, the minimum was 64.00 USD/ton, and the average level stood at 64.82 USD/ton. The futures serves as a price reference for the Asian coal market with FOB Indonesia delivery basis.
