Sugar, Free Market (IMF) reflects the nearest futures position of contract No. 11 on the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange and serves as the benchmark for the global free sugar market in the agricultural and food sectors. In 2026 the maximum reached 16.39 cents/lb, the minimum was 13.91 cents/lb, and the average stood at 14.85 cents/lb. The index is published by the IMF and is used as the underlying for sugar futures trading.
