Index description

The IMF Mombasa (Kenya) tea auction price index serves as an indicator for the tea market in the agricultural sector. In 2026 the maximum reached 301.76 cents/kg, the minimum stood at 201.55 cents/kg and the average level was 223.06 cents/kg. Since July 1998 the index has been based on Kenyan auctions for Best Pekoe Fannings.
