Index description

Natural gas index (World Bank) is a Laspeyres index averaged across Europe, the US and Japan (LNG), serving as a global indicator for gas prices. In 2026 the maximum reached 155.80 points, the minimum was 96.33 points, and the average level stood at 113.35 points. Weights are based on five-year average consumption volumes; data are provided by the World Bank.
