Index description

SONIA (Sterling Overnight Index Average) is a measure of the rate at which interest is paid on sterling short-term wholesale funds in circumstances where credit, liquidity and other risks are minimal. The SONIA rate for a given London business day is published at 09:00 am on the following London business day and avilable only to its licensees. At 10:00 am it is freely available to all.
