Index description

The iTraxx Europe Financials Subordinated index measures the credit risk of subordinated debt issued by major European financial institutions. As this type of debt carries a higher risk than senior obligations, the index acts as a sensitive barometer of investor confidence in the capital resilience of the region’s financial system.
