Index description

International dollars (PPP) are used in the calculation. PPPs are calculated for individual products, for groups of products, and for each of the various levels of cost aggregation up to the level of GDP. The comparison methodology used allows to convert PPPs to any currency and to calculate indicators in relation to any country. In OECD-Eurostat comparisons, PPPs are expressed in international conventional dollars, in the European Union in purchasing power standard (PPP) (equivalent to the euro), and in Global Rounds (World Bank) in US dollars.
