Contribution to CPI Education. For instance, the specific expenditure group contributed 1.11 index points to the total CPI of 113.50 for the first quarter 2022. The All groups CPI in form of index number is the weighted average of the indexes for all its component items. The index number for a component multiplied by its weight to the All groups index results in its \"points contribution\".
