Index description

The Pending Home Sales Index reflects the dynamics of pending existing home sales in relation to the previous year (YoY), seasonally adjusted. A sale is considered pending when the contract has been signed but the deal has not been closed. Usually the deal is closed in 1-2 months after signing. It is a leading indicator for the US housing market.
