Index description

The index assesses the overall business activity of the industry in the state of Texas based on a monthly survey of the business. Consists of many sub-indices, which include production, new orders, capacity utilization, shipping, delivery, employment, wages, CAPEX, prices. Values ​​above zero mean that most firms reported growth over the previous month, below zero mean declines. A value of 0 means that the number of firms reporting growth is equal to the number of firms reporting a decline. Data are seasonally adjusted.
