Index description

Reflects the results of a survey of consumer confidence of Japanese households consisting of 2 or more people. The index is the arithmetic mean of several components: consumer confidence, wage growth, employment, and willingness to buy durable goods. The data series are seasonally adjusted. Usually the data are published at the end of the reporting month or in the first days of the month following the reporting month.
