Index description

Russian monetary base in a narrow definition includes cash issued by the Bank of Russia (taking into account balances at the cash desks of credit institutions) and balances on the accounts of obligatory reserves for funds attracted by credit institutions in national currency deposited with the Bank of Russia. The indice is calculated on a weekly basis.
