Index description

Butter futures are traded on the European Energy Exchange, enabling producers and consumers to hedge price risks in the dairy industry. In August 2026, the maximum reached 4450.00 EUR/tonne, the minimum was 4000.00 EUR/tonne, and the average level stood at 4173.10 EUR/tonne. India remains the world’s largest butter producer, followed by the US and New Zealand.
