Index description

Butter futures are traded on the European Energy Exchange, enabling producers and consumers to hedge price risks in the dairy industry. In July 2026, the maximum reached 4143.00 EUR/tonne, the minimum was 3883.00 EUR/tonne, and the average level stood at 3958.05 EUR/tonne. India remains the world’s largest butter producer, followed by the US and New Zealand.
