Index description

The Producer Price Index (PPI) by economic activity (ISIC classification) compared to the same month of the previous year measures the year-over-year change in producer prices for industrial output. It indicates how prices charged by producers have changed relative to the same month a year earlier. This indicator is used to assess annual inflation trends at the production level and to monitor price dynamics across major sectors such as mining, manufacturing, energy supply, and utilities.
