Index description

Fish meal (World Bank) is a commodity index tracking prices of high-protein animal feed for aquaculture and livestock, with Germany serving as the key trading region and price benchmark for the European fish feed market. In 2026 the maximum reached 2044.75 USD/ton, the minimum stood at 1688.19 USD/ton and the average level was 1816.56 USD/ton. The index is based on German fishmeal prices (64 % protein), FOB Bremen from January 2021 and EXW Hamburg from January 1999 to December 2020.
