Headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, Ekotechnika GmbH is the German parent company of EkoNiva-Technika, Russia’s largest agricultural machinery dealer and one of the top three John Deere dealers in Europe. John Deere is the largest manufacturer of agriculture equipment worldwide. We have operated in the Russian agricultural market for over 15 years and offer farmers agricultural machinery – from tractors to milking machines – from 14 market-leading manufacturers. The Technology and Agriculture divisions were separated in 2011. The Agricultural Division, which primarily specialises in dairy production, today operates under the name of Ekosem-Agrar. Employing 625 people, EkoNiva-Technika serves local farmers in three regions (Central Russia, Chernozem region, Siberia). We have been a distribution partner of John Deere since 2004 and accounted for about 25 percent of total John Deere sales in Russia in 2012. Besides John Deere, we offer agriculture equipment from other leading brands such as GEA, AGI, JCB, Väderstad, BvL, Lemken, Poettinger and Grimme. We not only supply our customers with high-quality agricultural machinery and spare parts but also offer them comprehensive services both in our workshops and on their fields. Our sales territory covers an area the size of Germany, France and Italy taken together. Ekotechnika and EkoNiva-Technika are led by a very experienced German-Russian management team. The founder, majority shareholder and member of the Advisory Board is Stefan Dürr, who has been active in Russia’s agricultural sector since the late 1980s and has been instrumental in its modernisation over the past years. In 2009, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in recognition of his contributions to the German-Russian agricultural dialogue. Two years earlier, he was the first German entrepreneur to receive the Pjotr-Stolypin Prize, which is awarded to “Russia’s agricultural elite”.
